The author: Ordained in the Diocese of Toronto in 1944, Archdeacon Harry Hilchey served the Anglican Church of Canada in the Dioceses of Toronto, Nova Scotia and Montreal where he was principal of the Montreal Diocesan Theological College from 1974 to 1978. He was Deputy Prolocutor of General Synod in 1974, Prolocutor from 1975 to 1979 and served as General Secretary from 1979 to 1987. After his retirement from General Synod he served TorontoÆs Wycliffe College as Director of Development and Communications, acting principal and archivist.
