Elihu Woodworth was born in Horton, N.S., son of Joseph Woodworth, a Planter originally from Lebanon, Connecticut. He helped build the Covenanter Church in Grand Pre, begun in 1804, completed in 1811, and still standing. He was chief administrator of the church.
