Imperoyal Village

Company towns and villages were essential roots in the growth of Canada.This book is the story of one such venture, Imperoyal Village in Darmouth, Nova Scotia. Crucially located on the shores of Halifax Harbour, Dartmouth attracted several industries, including Imperial Oil. The company built its refinery behind MacNab's and George's islands just as WWI was ending. Imperoyal Village was established between the refinery and the Shearwater Naval Air Station. The village was the author's home - and we experience the Wonder Town as it once was.
